Ahh.. this may be one day late, but i want to share to our readers that Crazieapple is ageing yet another year! Happy Birthday Sistah!! <3 We hope you enjoyed your surprise party- all credits to Mr. W who has been utmost sweet and planned everything himself.
I know it's been awhile since we've blogged. You will forgive us, wont we? seeing that it's Crazieapple's birthday?
People can never get sick of surprises, and certainly not Augustdiners. We had a mini pre-celebration with the princess at Georgetown white coffee @ Jaya 33. Do you know they have private room upstairs that can cater well to parties? Well now you know. They serve some amazing fish head curry too, this will be in their new menu which will be launched later.
Crazieapple love all things pastels, and shes a crazy obsessed pinterest user, it was not difficult to know what decor would appeal to her. Pink paper lantern? check. Macarons? check. Pink Flowers? Check. Pink Balloons? Pretty Pink Cake? Check Check.

I know i know, i'm suppose to put up our Finale from Krabi Trip, but i decided to jump the wagon and instead write about this, because i figured the finale probably would take me an hour to write, whilst this will only take 20 mins. Let's just say i'm lazy at the moment, and am perfectly contented with slapping a few photos and call it a post =P
As much as we love our food, we are pretty weak in the kitchen. So we were happy to have Chef Ken over to assist us in organizing some dishes for an impromptu dinner at home for 40pax one night.
Our menu of the night was quite simple:
Starters: A mix palate of Prawn Salad, Capsicum Pate on Toast (which was delicious by the way), and cherry tomato salad with basil and mozzarella dressed with balsamic vinegrette and olive oil.
Soup: Pumpkin Soup, drizzled with cream and italian parsley
Main: A Choice of Fillet Mignon with Blue cheese Sauce topped with Asparagus on a bed of warm potato salad OR Grilled Lobster with sautee Brocollis on the side
Dessert: Blueberry cheesecake and Cheese Platter

Father's day is creeping closer, and few of us daughters are still scratching our head on what to do for our dad this year. Last year we had a Japanese-themed party at home. We got Chef Miyasan's team to come perform wonders in our kitchen: there was a huge spread of sushi, sashimi, wagyu beef, agedashi tofu (bcos i love them!), Udon, tempura, tarts and many others.
