A Very Happy Anniversary to Daddy and Mommy dearest!!

Chocolate cake made by Chyn with printings on sugar sheet.
Pretty cool huh?

We decided to visit the long forgotten Noble house (it used to be our regular dining place) for some fine Chinese cuisine.

Noble house is one of the many restaurants under the management of Oriental Group of Restaurants. From Oriental banquet, Ming Palace, Maju Palace and many more.. Some of them serves normal walk-in chinese food, some are open for banquet (thus Oriental Banquet)..

Noble house is the outlet that generally serves finer Chinese cuisine from Superior Shark fin, Braised Abalone, to even Kobe beef.. And they don't (normally) operate as a normal Chinese restaurant because there is no common area in this outlet. I would boldly say that many men would bring their mistresses to restaurant like this, mainly because whatever happens behind the closed door, stays within.. =p

You normally have to pre-book a room and you'll have your own privacy for your dining experience! (Even have karaoke facilities with pretty damn updated songs like the High school musical soundtrack!! not that i actually sang it..)
Here's our dinner:
For starters, i ordered the Braised Superior Shark's Fin 红烧鲍翅

Being on of the top quality sharkfin soup in the menu, it costs RM128 a bowl
Definitely worth the money!!

Shark bone soup 鲨 鱼 骨 汤
RM28 each

This is extremely flavourful but the only downside to this soup is that it has this sticky feeling after drinking.. I think its from the tendon or something (not too sure)
Double-Boiled Imperial Teapot Soup 锦 绣 茶 壶 汤
A very refreshing soup, interesting way of consumption.. You pour it off the kettle into the tiny like teacup-like bowl. They even placed a tiny slice of garlic to enhance the taste!

Steam garlic scallop with vermicelli
Very strong garlic smell, but not too bad for garlic lovers!!

Crispy Fried Baby Chicken 童子鸡
Crispy at the same time tender meat with a hint of herb smell.. Served with pomelo garlic salad at the side

Charcoal Grilled Pork Ribs 炭 烧 排 骨

This is my favourite dish of the night..
I've never tried such tender, flavourful and juicy pork ribs in ANY chinese restaurant before.. This is just grilled to the perfectionto!
Kobe beef which was a let down.. The meat was disappointingly tough as it was a little overcooked for my taste..
I prefer medium rare for my beefs, that- is how a good beef should be cooked! =)

Pan Seared Foie Gras 鹅 肝
We sure do love our foie gras, don't we??
But i gave it a pass as i still can't forget about the bad experience i had the night before with the rotten foie gras.
The bill came up to a whopping RM1.4k.. I'm sure daddy regrets celebrating his anniversary with his 8 kids.. Oh well, good things are meant to be shared right?? =p
Food: 7.5/10
(astonishing chinese dining experience)
Service: 8/10
(each of the room are allocated with around 2 attendants)
Ambience: 6.5/10
(Typical chinese settings but thumbs up for exclusive privacy)
Presentation: 6/10
(so so.. typical Chinese presentation for most dishes)
Overall: 7/10
