I, dub thee, Village Park Nasi Lemak, the best NASI LEMAK in town.

Nasi lemak has been a favourite makans to most Malaysians, it is one of our national dish (yes apparently we have many of them). The simple combination of fragrant coconut rice, ikan billis, sambal with often hard-boiled egg has been a popular breakfast, lunch, and dinner dish.

Everyone have their say on their favourites, and i'm a die hard fan of Village Park.
And what makes it so special to me?

There's really no reason not to like this place. First, it is air-conditioned (not that it matters to me *ahem*), service is of high standard despite being busy on most hours. The business is so ridiculously good that the stream of customers is never ending. A common sight of 2 long lines are often seen, one line for take-away orders, and another for paying the bills. At the cashier sits the lady boss with impeccably wonderful skin with a constant smile on her face and secrets in her eyes while she collects those neverending cashflows that impeccably goes to those wonderful skin. i've never seen such beautiful skin outside a magazine, so fair, so smooth, so baby-like. I wonder again and again everytime i looked at her with lust (for her skin)

What i also liked about this place is how friendly the system is. Most times, popular restaurants often become LCLY "pardon us for the language" and refuses to take reservations. Village Park however has no such issue. So call up beforehand to ensure you get a good seating arrangement.
Another good thing is you DONT actually have to line up to order the food. If you know already have in mind what you want, you can usher the servers to order them for you and they will bring it to your table.
So yep, this is a totally stress free eating environment despite being so packed all the time.

In terms of food offerings, Village park is no ordinary nasi lemak stall. It has a vast offerings of other dishes such as Assam fish head, curry noodles, etc etc. I've tried a couple of them, so far none has failed me.

Here are our usual orders:

The basic with usual condiments, sambal was deliciously spicy

1/ Fried Chicken thighs, (compressed deep fried) every bit sinful with crispy outer layers and soft tender meat. Served warm. We never have problems with the chicken here, it was always cooked thorough (i hate seeing bloody chickens) and it comes in large pieces, often our family member of 8 just order 4 portion to share and there's still plenty to go around

2/ Another to order dish is their lady fingers (and long beans), simple stir fried but satisfying complement to the rice

3/ Beef Rendang was also a popular choice, i like to lap up the gravy and mixed them together with my coconut rice, it's sinful like that =)

4/ Their Sotong is also another must order!!! This sambal is comparatively milder in spiciness, and slightly sweet.

5/ Assam Fish head is very good too. It comes in a big portion and was a perfect blend of sourness and again, not too spicy.

It is literally one of the few places my lil monkeys get excited about, and actually GOBBLED down their food in no time.

I don't know if it's the best nasi lemak in town, but I know it's the best COMMERCIAL nasi lemak I've eaten la. =P

My favourite nasi lemak place is still Warong SinarNor. But the ambiance would only warrant a 3/10. LOL

I have a weakness in Nasi Lemak too! If given the approval (by myself), I can eat it everyday! But have to limit the intake as I can gain weight easily (too easy in fact) T.T and my favourite peanuts will cause me breakouts too. *grumpy*
