"Heard you're going to Bali, you MUST try Naughty Nuri, it's gooood and i must make a visit each and every time im in Bali" gushed a friend

And visit we did. Better known for their famous BBQ Ribs, selections of Indonesian fares and their boobilicious Martinis, Naughty Nuri has the party fun vibe that’s comfortably noisy, irritably crowdy at times and tables are often shared, then again you can’t always please both sides. What they made up for is their brisk and efficient services. So although there is quite some queue by the roadside, after 30 or so minutes wait, we were escorted to our tables and orders immediately filled and food arrived within 15 minutes. Heck we are on Holiday so we can wait.

Yes, Naughty Nuri may be popular for tourist around the world, but it is equally enjoyed by locals. It’s Pork Ribs that people flock to in crowds may not be my absolute favourite (I still like Hurricane, Sydney the best!) however the flavours were worth devouring, with its not-too-sweet and sticky special BBQ sauce and falls off the bone meat textures. One slab of ribs each which comes with about 7-8 ribs that may not be good portion for sharing unless you want to order other main courses as well.

Their Indonesian food flairs quite well too, with a very enjoyable sup buntut or oxtail soup, with thick earthy broth and their bebek goreng (crispy fried duck)- an Indonesian specialty though naughty nuri's version was bordering too dry for us.

What’s worth mentioning is their little “gimmick” for their Martinis, when you order a Classic Martinis, you’ll get to enjoy a little performances by Naughty Nuri’s staff, where they chant “one, two, three shake shake, shake shake” while good spiritedly shaking their butts and booties at the same time. It was for a good laugh, and i see foreigners order again and again just so they can enjoy the dance.  It also helps that their Martinis were surprisingly quite potent and tasted quite good.

Overall, we were glad we made the trip there, and this will not be our last visit too. Would I recommend? Yes of course. After a good meal in Naughty Nuri, how about heading down to the happening Potato Head Beach Club?
