A lot have been said in blogs and reviews about 'Sage Restaurant and Wine Bar' and when you've been tagged as Cilantro's younger sibling - there's a lot to live up to. So rather than giving you the typical oh-so-boring review of photographing each dish and tormenting you by telling you how each individual ingredient taste like, I've decided to take a different approach and tell you if this restaurant is worthy of bringing your all important date for an evening of dramatic top-end experience dining.
With all the hype you'd probably have heard, you can't help but to raise your expectations up a couple of notches even before stepping foot into the establishment. Yet it doesn't disappoint you as fleets of well groomed staff greets you at the doorstep. Upon entering this outpost-liked location in the less fashionable end of the mall - you'll quickly be introduced to an environment of soaring cream walls, timber flooring and tables swathed in white linen. Some tables even have booth-styled seatings which gives the place a demure yet adds to the understated sophistication of the restaurant.
Cue the photos:-
The open kitchen is part gallery, part theater with chefs whirling around as eager diners witness the art of inspiring culinary skills and great ingredients into vibrant dishes - although I do think that the kitchen can still look better with more sophisticated wall tiles instead of your average toilet-styled ones.
